Calcium Chloride Pellets (PELADOW™) – The premier snow and ice melter. Effective down to -25 °F. The fastest acting ice melter at all temperatures. There is not a better product for melting ice and snow. Its hygroscopic property allows it to begin acting upon contact.
Calcium Chloride Flake (DOWFLAKE™ Xtra) – Contains the most calcium of any flake product in the market, 83-87%. Easily mixed with other melters, such as salt, to enhance their ice melting ability.
Calcium Magnesium Acetate – A low corrosion, environmental alternative to other ice melting products, like Rock Salt. CMA is often blended with Rock Salt to help the salt become a less corrosive product. Its common application is on bridges, parking garages and any steel or concrete structure.
Ice Breaker™ – Ice Breaker is a premium blended, environmentally friendly, ice melter designed to be effective down to -25 °F. Ice Breaker contains blended crystals that are screened for a consistent size and dyed with a green tracer to allow accurate spreading. Blended with Calcium Chloride and CMA, it is an effective , yet environmentally friendly ice melter.
Liquid Calcium Chloride & Liquid Magnesium Chloride – An economically advantageous way to either enhance or compliment traditional ice melters. A 32% – 35% ice melting solution that can be sprayed directly on road and walkway surfaces, or on most ice melters like Rock Salt to enhance their ice melting ability.
Magnesium Chloride Flake & Magnesium Chloride Pellets – An effective, environmentally friendly ice-melting product. Effective down to -13 °F. Safer for pets than most other ice melters.
Potassium Acetate, Sodium Acetate and Sodium Formate – These are products that are safe to use around airports, or in environments where corrosive products cannot be used. These high-end melters meet the strict FAA standards for use at airports. They are ideal for pre-wetting, ant-icing or de-icing applications.
Potassium Chloride & Urea – Will not harm vegetation. Potassium Chloride is a fertilizer compound that works down to +12 °F. Urea melts to +15 °F and is less corrosive than most other melters. Environmentally safer than most ice melting products. Less harmful to animals.
Rock Salt, (Halite / Sodium Chloride) – The most commonly used product for anti-icing and de-icing applications. Effective at temperatures of +5 °F and above. Available in both bulk and bags.
Rock Salt (Treated) – Rock Salt is treated with a combination of corn steep and liquid magnesium or calcium to enhance the melting ability of salt and create a less corrosive product. Used by municipalities on bridges and overpasses where corrosion on steel is a concern. Available in bulk only.
Salt Brine – Liquid salt that is used primarily in an anti-icing (before the snow) process to create a barrier between the road surface and ice or snow.
Sand & Sand / Salt Mix – Sand is primarily used for traction on roadways and walkways. It has no ice melting ability. When mixed with salt in different percentages, it creates an effective, economical ice melter/traction product.
